Thousands of villagers in a delicate Maoist-affected space in Parvatpur in the Giridih district are protesting in opposition to the establishment of a police camp within the space.
Disturbed by the brand new camp, native villagers reached Parvatpur on Wednesday. They had been armed with standard weapons earlier than beginning to protest. This is the second direct movement of villagers within space at 10-day intervals.
Notably, the newly established CRPF police camp is near the properties of Maoist leaders Ajay and Ram Dayal Mahto. Police sources mentioned the agitation in opposition to the institution of the police camp was being sponsored by Ajay Mahato, a member of the Special Area Committee of the banned CPI (Maoist) group. Mahato's identity is on the police's 'Most Wanted' checklist and he has prize cash of Rs 25 lakh on his head.
In the previous few months, Jharkhand police have registered a serious case in opposition to Maoists within the space. They have shot down some very wished Maoists in the previous few weeks.
The agitation by the villagers later become a gathering, which lasted for a couple of hours. The protesting villagers unanimously mentioned that colleges and hospitals need to begin within the space as an alternative to different police camps. The assembly was held exterior the brand new police camp.

Police personnel and a few trainees had been arrested by IAS after the incident. Officials are tenting in Parvatpur to forestall any confrontation between them and the locals.
