The labor contractor was looted by three men on a bike and an Activa, who identified him as a crime branch while he was on his way home from a serious petrol pump in the Sarkhej area.
The accused laborer initially took the contractor to the police station and committed a robbery of Rs 66,000 by threatening to implicate him in a false case.
Police immediately registered a case based on CCTV footage. Harilal Gokul Prasad Maurya, a native of Uttar Pradesh, lives in a rented house in Vejalpur.

The accused revealed the identity of the people of the crime branch. The three took Hori Prasad to Krishnadham Oda's house.
He was taken to the police station and threatened to file a false case. If the police did not want to get involved in the case, the accused demanded Rs 66,000.
Hariprasad was taken to the ATM center and the balance of the account was seen through the card. Hariprasad said that he would be able to withdraw Rs 10,000 per day from the ATM.
The accused had taken Rs 10,000 from SBI Bank ATM. Asked to give another 56 thousand the next day. The next day, the accused called Hari Prasad and he went and gave another rupee.
Rs 56,000 was given to the accused. Police have registered a case of robbing Rs 66,000 against three people in the name of the Crime Branch.
